Making good things better - the new PC490-11 V2
We have given our popular PC490-11 an extensive model update. The aim was to incorporate the ideas we have gathered over the years from other projects and customer ideas and requests into this update. Technically, there was little to "improve" as the PC490 has proven itself over the years. Therefore, the focus was on optimizing the details. The hydraulics could be further optimized, but above all the new slewing gear is once again an innovation that has never been seen on the market before! The sensor-controlled brushless motor, which as such already has an absolutely sensitive starting behavior, was reduced by a total of around 1350:. The result is absolutely impressive! But here is an overview of all the revised points.

The sensor-controlled brushless slewing gear combines power with absolutely unique precision. Until now, it was very difficult with most slewing drives to make the finest positioning or corrections with a fully extended boom (e.g. when changing attachments with the quick coupler), but with the new slewing unit this becomes pure pleasure. From millimeter-precise positioning to fast, powerful movements, the new Fumotec slewing unit leaves nothing to be desired

Distributor block for the lifting cylinder connections
While our PC490 lifting cylinders and their hoses have always looked "quite pretty", the distributor block here brings even more authenticity to the model. The hose routing is shorter and perfectly symmetrical. In addition, the Y-connector previously required in the model to distribute the valve connection to the two cylinders is no longer necessary, which creates even more space and order in the interior.

Holder for the loudspeaker already integrated in the kit
A separate speaker is no longer required. The positioning ensures even engine noise distribution around the model.
The complete superstructure of the PC490 has also been completely revised:
-completely 3D printed no more rework required
-door with integrated hinges
-proven positioning of all superstructure parts with steel pins and magnets from PC290 and PC228
-Wear protection handle included in the kit
All scale add-on parts and the cabin extension are included in the kit
-Extendable rear weight
-reworked middle section of the undercarriage with cover for the turntable
Anti-rotation locks on the bolts of the cylinders on the boom
You will need the following components or our electronics set to make the model ready to drive:
-brushless controller for the pump motor (e.g. Robbe Roxxy 720 or 722)
-brushless controller for the drive motors
-5x servos for the hydraulic valves (e.g. Hitec HS-81 or similar)
-Receiver (at least 9 channels)
-Battery (e.g. Lipo 3S 5000 mAh)
-Approx. 0.5 l hydraulic oil
-Hydraulic sealing fluid and threadlocker
